The farfromhomepage project (2011-2012) raised the question of a genuine aesthetic usage of the internet:
How can you tell stories with the web?
The idea of the project is to combine film-editing with the interactivity of browsing: Content can
be presented in multimedia and animated scenes, but at the same time remains fully active for browsing.
Viewers can lean-back or at any time dive into content that interests them.
Based at Freie Universität Berlin and supported by German Ministry for Economics and Technology a
team of artists, scientists and programmers led by Janosch Asen and Manuel Scheidegger worked on
a new tool to creatively edit any type of public web-content into dynamic and interactive stories.
The end of boring sequences of rectangled frames!
CREATIVE BROWSING transforms content on the browser level itself: Every content is live-accessed at its original source and transparently referred to.
Finally, authors can creatively work with public material without illegally copying it!
Add effects, animations & more.
Easily share your
Just videos, so no real web-interaction.
